The Oakdale Centre, based opposite the Valley Gardens in Harrogate, was established more than 15 years ago to provide a high quality, professional psychological therapies service to the local community.
Our clients come to us with a wide range of difficulties, these include:

The Oakdale Centre’s team of fully qualified and experienced counsellors, psychotherapists and psychologists have different training backgrounds and areas of expertise so that we can offer the service best suited to each client’s particular needs. This includes counselling and therapy for adults, couples, young people, children and families.

The Oakdale Centre also provides specialist psychological therapies including:
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
Psychologist assessment and treatment
EMDR (for trauma and other conditions)
Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT)
Couples Counselling
Creative Therapies (including drama, art and play therapy)
Mindfulness Groups
Group psychotherapy
A specialist Child & Family Therapy Team

In addition, our practitioners provide: Coaching and mentoring Professional Supervision raining and workshops for professionals

Most of Oakdale Centre’s services are provided face-to-face, but we also offer sessions on the telephone, online and using Skype.

FEES

The Oakdale Centre is a not for profit organization. Fees vary according to the particular practitioner and the service being provided. Some low fee sessions are available, so please ask. We provide free telephone assessments for anyone who would like to find out more about the Oakdale Centre and what service would be appropriate for them.
We also accept payment through medical insurance companies where applicable.

The Oakdale Centre is bound by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and subject to its professional conduct procedure. Oakdale Centre practitioners are all fully trained and experienced and registered with their relevant professional association such as the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), or the British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).
